Our Weanling Doe Futurity 2013 is open to anyone willing to abide by the following rules:
  • Send all nominations for bred does to the futurity chairperson, postmarked no later than January 31, 2013. A $5 nomination fee must accompany each doe’s name, registration number and owner’s name.

All doelings from the nominated litter may be continued in the doe futurity by sending a $5 intermediate sustaining fee for each doeling to the futurity chairperson, postmarked no later than April 16, 2013. NOTE: Specific doe kids do not have to be selected at the intermediate stage, just the number of doe kids from the nominated litter that you wish to sustain.
  • Send a $5 final sustaining fee for each doe kid to the futurity chairperson, postmarked no later than June 1st, 2013 including each doe kid’s registered name, registration number, and date of birth.
  • Futurity doe kids will be shown in a non-sanctioned futurity class at the WPGC Marion County Fair Show in July. The futurity will be judged by the NPGA breed standard; it is at the judge’s discretion to give oral reasons for all placings or to limit reasons to the top 5 places.
  • Original registration must be presented at check-in.
  • Only eligible weanlings paid in full are eligible for the yearling doe futurity.
  • Weanling futurity fees collected will be awarded as premiums to the top 5 placements. 1st=30%, 2nd=25%, 3rd=20%, 4th=15%, 5th=10%. If less than 5 kids are shown, the award money for unused placements will be divided equally among those kids shown.
  • There shall be no refunds. If fees are not paid on time, the entry will be disqualified and fees forfeited. Deadline notices will not be sent. Full refunds will be made only if WPGC is unable to hold it’s Summer Show.
  • If the nominated dam or kid is sold, the futurity rights and fees payable continue to the new owner subject to the rules above. Premiums will be paid to the weanling doe owner at the time of the Summer Show as verified by the Certificate of Registry or the Transfer of Ownership form.
